The Music Library of Greece "Lilian Voudouri" of the Friends of Music Society is participating in “The Europe Challenge", a programme that brings together libraries and communities from accross Europe to face current challenges.
In cooperation with the non-profit organization liminal whose purpose is to provide equal access to culture, the Music Library of Greece "Lilian Voudouri" is carrying out the project “Resonance: Music appreciation for the D/deaf and hard of hearing".
The goal of this project is to build a bridge towards the D/deaf and hard of hearing community by adopting in its core the concepts of inclusion and co-creation through a series of open sessions and workshops.
In order to support other libraries through this work, the information and experience gained in this project will be the basis to create a "toolkit" of good practices and tips, providing a valuable tool for any library trying to reach out to a new community.

The Europe Challenge is a programme initiated by the European Cultural Foundation. It brings together libraries and communities to address Europe’s key transitions—social, digital, and green—by implementing creative solutions in their local areas. The 2025/26 edition is kindly supported by public funding through Arts Council England, Fondazione Cariplo, and the Scottish Library and Information Council.
