For the first time in years, award-winning actor and director Michalis Maniatis makes a unique appearance at the Athens Concert Hall (Megaron), joining the talented actress Chrisa Roma in a performance wrapped in the atmospheric music of George Voukanos and enriched with evocative video art, a combination destined to make this holiday season more contemplative and tender.
Three unique stories from the book “Eyes on the Windowsill” by Effie Panagopoulou come to life on stage, in an adaptation that brings the mood and perspective of the original work into the theatre. Effie Panagopoulou is an award-winning author of books and plays, known for the unique worlds she creates and the distinctive imprint she leaves on every genre. Her book Eyes on the Windowsill, the first in her series Velvet Wanderings, is available on Amazon in both Greek and English.
Michalis Maniatis became widely known through the film Angelos (1982), followed by roles in Rembetiko (1983), Loafing and Camouflage (1984), and other iconic productions that established him during the 1980s. In recent years, he has been recognized as a Peace Ambassador of Jiangsu Province for China, connecting Greek and Chinese culture through projects, documentaries, and international events.
Chrisa Roma is a theatre and television actress who, despite her young age, has already participated in numerous TV productions, concerts, and performances at the Athens Concert Hall, ERT, and more, demonstrating a remarkable range. In 2024 she starred in MEGA’s TV series The Shipwreck, and this year appears in the series One Night Only, also on MEGA.
George Voukanos is an internationally acclaimed Greek composer, known for his pioneering approach to contemporary music production and his audiovisual projects that span art music and symphonic composition, with a strong focus on soundtracks and electronic music. His work creates atmospheric, innovative sound worlds for film, theatre, and advertising, and has been presented on major stages in Greece and abroad, earning international awards.
