For over 20 years, Panagiotis Karousos has had an uninterrupted presence on the international music scene as a composer and pioneer in contemporary Greek music.
He has distinguished himself in the USA, Canada, Argentina, and European countries with appearances in concert halls such as Lincoln Center (New York), Place des Arts (Montreal), Royal College of Music (London), Sofia National Opera and Ballet, Amphithéâtre Richelieu Université Paris-Sorbonne, Basilique Notre-Dame de Montréal, Small Theater of Ancient Epidaurus, Ancient Messina, Veakeio Theater, UN at the United Nations in Manhattan, etc.
He has given hundreds of concerts at international festivals and major music centers, presenting his operas "Prometheus Bound", "Trachiniae - Olympic Flame", "Alexander the Great", and works such as the "Liberty Symphony", "Piano Concerto", "Montreal Suite", and the Oratorio: "The Song of the Nations". In 2014, the Athens Symphony Orchestra performed Symphony No. 4 "of the Earth", while his works have been presented in the Third Program of ERT (Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation).
He is Director of Opera and Classical Music for the Club for UNESCO of Piraeus and Islands. As an Independent Researcher and Lecturer, the composer Panagiotis Karousos has given many pre-concert lectures on ancient Greek prosody (Analysis of Prosody by the scholar and composer Panagiotis Karousos, within the framework of the Educational Program in High Schools of Greece).
